Today I had a funny moment. I was at the doctors to sort out my constant coughing. He put on his little face mask, looked down my throat and listened to my chest. Then the conversation went like this:

Dr: "Did you go to work today?"
Me: "Yes. I'm a school teacher" (I don't know why I had to validate that but anyway...)
Dr" "Right, well you're not going to work tomorrow!'
Then he paused and after a moment started to discuss my health. My thoughts started to race... OMG Do I have swine flu? BUT luckily no, I don't. I just have a chest infection! Ewww! So I've got some antibiotics and some great cough medicine that is going to help me sleep thank goodness!

So this begs the question.... should I be wearing one of those face masks in public? Is this a new public moral responsibility? I mean the amount of students who were coughing in my classroom today and not covering the mouths when they cough is huge! Then they play the keyboards, guitars use the computers etc... Should I invest in a can of Glen 20 for my classroom? Gee whiz the germs are easily spread!

Anyway, a little germ is good for us, right? Builds up our immunity, right? Here's hoping that this is my cough for the season! And don't you think it's a little funny that I get sick the day before I am due for my Flu and Swine Flu injection? Ah well, back on the waiting list for when I'm better!

Hope you're all at home resting and not feeling a throat tickle after reading this!

Oink! Oink!

Love and Hugs xoxo
